Vietnam: thousands of Catholics protest imprisonment of lawyer

Thousands of Catholics took part in vigils in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Vinh on September 29 to protest the continued imprisonment of Le Quoc Quan, a Catholic attorney, according to an AsiaNews report.
The attorney, a member of the Commission for Justice and Peace of the Vietnamese bishops’ conference, has been harassed and detained repeatedly for his defense of human rights.
