Cardinal Dulles dead at 90

Cardinal Avery Dulles died yesterday morning at the age of 90. The son of the famed anti-Communist US Secretary of State John Foster Dulles, Cardinal Dulles was born in Auburn, New York, in 1918. After his conversion to Catholicism, he entered the Jesuit order and was ordained to the priesthood in 1956. Pope John Paul II created the renowned theologian a cardinal during the consistory of 2001.
