Catholic Recipe: Lasagne Strata with Meatless Sauce
This lasagne has a meatless sauce, so it can be used for days of abstinence. Make the meatless sauce a day ahead.
Prepare Meatless Sauce (see recipe). Cook noodles in boiling salted water as directed on package. Drain. Spread half the drained noodles over bottom of lightly oiled 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Pour about 1/3 of the sauce over noodles. Add alternating layers of half the ricotta, Parmesan, and mozzarella cheeses. Add remaining noodles, another 1 of the sauce, and remaining cheeses.
