Catholic Recipe: Wild Rice Stuffing

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups wild rice
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cups stock
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon minced parsley
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

DIRECTIONS

Wash and drain the rice thoroughly. Melt the butter and add the rice, celery, and the onion. Cook, stirring all the while, until the rice browns. Add the stock and the remaining ingredients and simmer for half an hour.
