Catholic Prayer: Prayer for Rain

Description:

Farmers and gardeners alike all have to pray for rain periodically.

This prayer can be said in conjunction with the novena to St. Isidore the Farmer, feast day May 15 in the USA.

This prayer is also included in the 1956 Rural Life Prayerbook, published by National Catholic Rural Life Conference, recently reprinted by TAN Books).

Prayer:

O God, in Whom we live and move and have our being, grant us rain, in due abundance, that, being sufficiently helped with temporal gifts, we may seek with more confidence those that are eternal. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
