SOLICITATION
The crime of using the sacrament of penance, directly or indirectly, to lead a person into a grave sin against chastity. A priest who commits solicitation is to be suspended from celebrating Mass and from hearing sacramental confessions, and in more flagrant cases is to be degraded. There is a grave obligation to lodge an accusation with ecclesiastical authorities against a priest who is known to be guilty of solicitation.
