PRAYER BOOK
A manual of prayers for private devotion by the faithful or for communal use by members of a religious community or confraternity. There is no Catholic counterpart to the Anglican Book of Common Prayer because Catholic liturgical books of prayer and chant are totally distinct from ordinary prayer books, which may contain a variety of authorized prayers, meditations, or reflective readings.
