EASTER COMMUNION

Reception of the Holy Eucharist, as prescribed by the Church, during the Easter season, which differs among countries, but generally between Ash Wednesday (or the first Sunday of Lent) and Trinity Sunday. Also called "Easter Duty," it includes the reception of the sacrament of penance. Children (puberes) are also to make their Easter duty, and the obligation rests on parents, guardians, and the pastor to see that this duty is fulfilled.
