Separation of Powers, RIP?
Today, in a historic 4-3 decision, the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts ruled that all existing state laws are null and void, the legislature is dissolved, and the 4-judge majority will re-write all state laws by themselves.
OK, I made that up. It didn't really happen.
But if it did, would we see at least one editorial complaining that the court had exceeded its jurisdiction, and threatened the constitutional separation of powers? Would we hear at least one legislator saying that the runaway justices must be removed from office?
