Reaping what we sowed

Last November, at the US bishops' meeting, Archbishop Alfred Hughes made what should have been recognized as a shocking admission: None of the standard Catholic religious-education texts for high-school students gives an adequate presentation of Catholic teaching.
Now Newsweek finds that young Catholics are more likely than their elders, or than young Protestants, to support legal abortion, homosexual marriage, etc.
There's a connection here, you know.
So now the bishops are trying-- again!-- to figure out how they should cope with the issues of abortion, homosexual marriage, etc.
How about by ensuring that our children are taught the faith?!
