Questions for the day:

By Diogenes ( articles ) | Sep 24, 2003

St. Athanasius refused to share the Eucharist with those who rejected the true teaching of the Catholic Church.

• If he were alive today, and fully informed about what is being taught and preached, how many American parishes would St. Athanasius put off limits?

• Was St. Athanasius wrong? Or has something fundamental changed about the content of our faith? Or the nature of the Eucharist?

• Would St. Athanasius be comfortable at a USCCB meeting? If not, would it be his fault?

• When we sing about the "Faith of our Fathers," what do we mean?
