Pittsburgh priests -- thinking Catholics -- have been brainstorming about the clergy crisis and come up with some innovative,"outside the box" ideas for RENEWAL:
"Our feelings [center?] around the need to bring discussion about optional celibacy, and the possibility of ordaining married men to the priesthood, and the possibility of ordaining women as deacons or perhaps as priests," said Father Garrett Dorsey, of the Association of Pittsburgh Priests."
Wow. Why has no one ever thought of this before? If she ordained women and married men, the Catholic Church might get her act together on a par with her progressive sister ECUSA, and we all know how successful THAT is.
