On a quiet winter day, with no pressing work to do, a friend visited the site of the US bishops’ conference, and did a Google search restricted to English-language results on that site.
He tried “transubstantiation” and the search returned 26 hits. Interesting. He continued:
- “St. Joseph”- 69 hits
- “Virgin Mary”- 433 hits
then, shifting focus a bit:
- “appropriations”- 592
- “welfare”- 1,740
- “environment”- 2,620
The winner, in this highly unscientific survey:
- “health care” with a whopping 2,840 hits.
