Lesson learned

Having maintained a cautious silence while Terri Schiavo was starved to death, Bishop Robert Lynch now comments on the historic event, and draws a lesson for his flock:
My recommendation to you is this: never miss an opportunity to spend time with your loved ones and friends; never let a day pass without telling your parents and children that you love them...
Great stuff, to be sure; worthy of Hallmark. But the bishop doesn't explain what you should do if, while you're trying to spend more time with your parents, a judge orders your execution. He continues:
We live a very fast-paced life; it's easy to forget that life is short.
Actually it just got a lot easier to remember that. Didn't you notice?
