If you hate the light, close the hatches!

One grows tired of world government. Even as the UN Human Rights Council presses toward declaring abortion a human right, the United Nations’ Committee on the Rights of the Child is trying to put an end to “life windows” throughout the world. Life Windows, or Baby Hatches, are safe places where women can abandon their infants anonymously. The Church defends the availability of these monitored abandonment locations, and rightly so.
Apparently it is not enough for abortion advocates to insist that a woman should be allowed and even assisted to kill her children. No, they must also oppose everything that remotely hints at greater love and responsibility, even the abandonment of an infant to someone else’s care. Better that these infants be discarded in dumpsters and trash heaps, because that tends to make us see abortion as an improvement!
This bears out Our Lord’s maxim that “everyone who does evil hates the light” (Jn 3:20).
