Question: Where do you find the following bit of catechesis?:

All Christian communities can create their own creed, based on the foundations of the Christian faith and their experience of God. Here are some extracts from a Credo created from Hispanics during their Third Encuentro Nacional de Pastoral in 1985:

We believe in the most holy Trinity, God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We sense her powerful work in our people, and we see it as a model to be followed...etc.

Answer: Page 1362 of the Catholic Youth Bible. This bible, based on the New Revised Standard Version, also includes prayers to the Native American divinity Wakan-Tanga (1258) and illustrative accounts of the seven principles of Kwanzaa (185, 187, 492, & elsewhere), and informs the reader -- not in a footnote, on the main page -- "1 Cor 14.36-38, which is set in parentheses(!), was added to Paul's original letter by a later writer" (1361). Not to worry, though. The Catholic Youth Bible has the nihil obstat and an imprimatur from Bernard J. Harrington, D.D., Bishop of Winona.
