delighted -- or, please pass the forceps

By Diogenes ( articles ) | Apr 03, 2009

You know you've made it when the folks you want to impress are delighted with your promotion. The Rev. Katherine Ragsdale, newly appointed president and dean of the Episcopal Divinity School (Cambridge, MA), earns the gushing congratulation of the National Abortion Rights Action League:

Excellent news. Readers here might also remember that Rev. Ragsdale was on-the-ground in Birmingham, Alabama in July of 2007, covering the anti-choice protestors at the New Women All Women Health Clinic during the Alabama Reproductive Freedom Summer kick off. Her blog post describing the events is really compelling so give it a read if you have the chance.

Rev. Ragsdale is a longtime leader of the pro-choice movement and, like I said before, NARAL Pro-Choice America and the Episcopal Divinity School are lucky to have her.

Remind me.  Why was Archbishop Akinola deemed out of bounds in extending pastoral care to North American Anglicans?
