USCCB President Wilton Gregory laments the media's preoccupation with sexual abusers who are Catholic clerics. Amy Welborn's comment thereon is irreducibly succinct.
It's unfortunate, but totally understandable, that a Catholic bishop can't raise this point without giving the appearance of skirting responsibility. But you know, that's what happens when you ... skirt responsibility.
