Suppose you're the young (ordained 1997) director of vocation formation for the Diocese of Nashville, Tennessee. You're also pastor of St. Stephen's Church in Old Hickory and a member of the board of directors of Catholic Charities of Tennessee. You have $2,000 in your pocket and are inspired to give it away. To whom, or what, do you direct your alms?

(a) To Catholic Charities of Tennessee-- after all, Tennessee has a high rate of children living in poverty.

(b) To the diocese's vocation formation efforts-- for example, by making it possible for Nashville seminarians to attend this summer's Confraternity of Catholic Clergy workshop or Church Teaches Forum.

(c) To John Kerry for President, Inc.

If you're Father Stephen J. Wolf, your answer is (c).
