Duquesne University president Charles Dougherty isn't the only Duke who has manifested eleemosynary delectation in the thought of a Kerry presidency. Patricia Dunham, associate professor of political science, gave $250 to the Kerry campaign on March 12. As if on cue, William Presutti, associate dean of the graduate school of business, did the same the very next day. Margaret Krasik, associate professor of law, has also given $850 to the candidate from Massachusetts.
A reprise: A Long Island chancery official and a Chicago seminary professor have donated to Hillary and the Democratic National Committee respectively; out west, a San Jose chancery official and Archbishop Levada's Catholic Charities director have directed their alms to Kerry (the latter to the tune of $25,000). Two bishops donated to a pro-life congressman, while an archbishop, 3 college presidents, a cathedral rector (Maronite), a vicar general (Atlanta), and a vocation director (Nashville) have cooperated materially in the culture of death.
