The Arcus Foundation has given nearly $500,000 to organizations that oppose Catholic teachings on homosexuality, notes Tom Peters of CatholicVote.
Run by gay activists, the Arcus Foundation has donated heavily to New Ways Ministry, and sponsored events on Catholic campuses questioning Church teachings on sexuality and marriage.
The foundation has not confined its support to dissident Catholic groups, Peters observes. Since 2007 the Arcus Fundation has given $6.5 million to various “gay-friendly” Christian organizations.
