Vatican unfurls new papal coat of arms

A new coat of arms for Pope Benedict XVI was introduced at the papal audience on Sunday, October 10. The new design incorporates the traditional triple crown of the papacy: the tiara or triregno, which has not actually been worn by a Roman Pontiff since Paul VI.
