Indian archbishop hospitalized after forced resignation

CWN Editor's Note: Archbishop Antony Kariyil, who was forced to resign from his post in the Syro-Malabar Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly, has been hospitalized following a seizure.
Archbishop Kariyil was described as “stabilized and shifted to critical care” after being admitted to a hospital in the Kerela state. A spokesman said that he was being treated for chronic conditions.
