Cardinal Parolin praises Chinese Catholics’ witness of faith

In an interview with an online Italian publication, the Vatican’s Secretary of State also praised the “high moral and spiritual stature” of Italian President Sergio Mattarella and said that Pope Francis is “slowly recovering” from surgery: “it takes its time even for him.”

    No, the Church will have to apologize to them. Apologize for a "unity" of suppression. Good Chinese citizens (cf. cited article)? Good Chinese citizens keep their children OUT OF CHURCH, deny them religious education, and worship the CCP as a duty. Unity of suppression? The fastest-growing evangelizing ministry and apostolate is popularly believed to have been recently suppressed. As usual, certain rigid public statements from the Vatican produce confusion in the minds of many. Bishops struggle.
