    Taking Pope Benedict's New Evangelization seriously could radically turn these dismal figures around. Excellence and relevance are two important themes that ought to be stressed in Catholic school systems. A true and sensed Catholic culture ought to be fostered on Catholic school campuses. Catholic schools ought to distinguish themselves in meaningful ways from their secular and private school counterparts.
