CWN Editor's Note: In 2015, Pope Francis proclaimed St. Gregory of Narek a Doctor of the Church; in February 2021, the Pontiff added the saint’s memorial (February 27) to the General Roman Calendar. The Congregation for the Eastern Churches, the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, and the Armenian embassy to the Holy See organized a Mass and other events for the day.
