Amazon Synod set for October; ecology tops agenda

    The Amazon basin is a critical ecology for producing oxygen and sinking carbon dioxide. All natural means possible, along with the best technologies, should be applied to rejuvenating the planet's surface environment. Fifty years of empirical evidence demonstrate that the Western nations of the Northern Hemisphere are leading the way. That said, I just returned from a trip across the West Virginia/western Pennsylvania border. Technology needs to clean up the air there.
