CWN Editor's Note: Secret Vatican correspondence made public by Wikileaks shows that Pope Francis had demanded action to stop the involvement of the Knights of Malta in the distribution of contraceptives. The correspondence does not explain why the Pope later intervened to reinstate Albrecht von Boesalager, the official who had been demoted because of his involvement in the contraceptive scheme.
