Myanmar’s military leaders meet with Pontiff

CWN Editor's Note: Shortly after his November 27 arrival in Myanmar, Pope Francis met with the military leaders.
The Monday-evening meeting was something of a surprise. The Pope’s official schedule had called for a day of rest on Monday, after the long flight from Rome. His first public appearance was expected on Tuesday. The Pontiff had originally been scheduled to meet with the military leaders on November 30.
