CWN Editor's Note: A Kenyan priest was found unconscious on October 22, and died of head injuries without recovering consciousness. Father Evans Juma Oduor was assaulted after he criticized violent attacks by government forces against the Luo ethnic group—to which former presidential candidate Raila Odinga belongs. At least 40 people have died in political violence this week, as the country prepares for elections that are scheduled for October 26, despite multiple protests that the integrity of the process has not been assured.
