Pope plans quiet 80th birthday celebration

Pope Francis will celebrate his 80th birthday on December 17, without fanfare.
The Pope has indicated that he plans to spend his birthday quietly at his residence, working a normal schedule. No public events are planned.
The Vatican has, however, set up special email addresses to receive birthday greetings for the Pontiff. For English speakers, the email address is: [email protected].
