The Crux web site has profiled Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz of Krakow, who is hosting World Youth Day.
Cardinal Dziwisz, who worked for decades as private secretary to St. John Paul II, sees this year’s World Youth Day celebration as a tribute to the Polish Pontiff. For the cardinal, who is 77 years old, the celebration is a final major event before his retirement.
