See gifts in every person, Cardinal Tagle urges faithful

Christians should look on all other people as gifts, Cardinal Luis Tagle of Manila said in his homily at a Mass closing the 3rd Philippine Conference on New Evangelizaiton.

"You don't throw away gifts," Cardinal Tagle said. "Gifts are treasured." He urged the faithful to "find gifts" in every person, especially those who live on the margins of society. "Jesus sees a gift even in Judas," he remarked.

In a separate development, Cardinal Tagle went to Malacanan Palace, the presidential residence, to pay a courtesy call July 19 on newly elected President Rodrigo Duerte.
