Catholic human-rights worker kidnapped in Kabul

A Catholic human-rights activist from India was kidnapped in Afghanistan on June 9, the Fides news service reports.

Judith D'Souza was working for the Aga Khan Foundation, promoting the economic welfare of women, when she was abducted in Kabul. She had spent 15 years working on human-rights issues in her native India before moving into Afghanistan last year.
