The Council-- the group of nine cardinals appointed by the Pontiff to advise him on Vatican reforms-- is meeting Monday through Wednesday, June 4 to 6. The agenda for the meetings is not public. Pope Francis usually participates in all sessions of the Council’s work, except on Wednesdays when he holds his weekly public audience.
This is the 15th series of meetings of the Council. It comes just after the Vatican announcement that Pope Francis has approved plans for establishing a Congregation for the Laity, Family, and Life, as recommended by the Council earlier this year.
