Italian book, promoted by Milan archdiocese, details nun's story of abuse by priest

March 22, 2016

An Italian nun recounts being repeatedly molested by a priest when she was a child, in a book published with the approval of the Archdiocese of Milan.

Giulia and the Wolf is the story of a nun, telling about years of abuse by a priest, beginning when she was 14. The book will be released next week by the Italian publisher Ancora.

The book includes a prefact by Father Hans Zollner, a member of the special papal commission on sexual abuse.

I might add that over 90% of the clerical abuses of minors were homosexual in nature; adult males were raping boys. And, regardless whether the "nun" story is true or not, this particular book does not represent the real nature of the clerical abuse problems. So, perhaps there is a specific agenda behind the very strange promotion of this story.

I think somebody lost his marbles if this kind of story is being "promoted" by the Church officials. What about promoting books about the great majority of faithful priests who completely dedicate their lives to God and His Church, or those who suffer martyrdom under communist or Islamic persecution?
