750,000 join pro-life march in Lima

March 16, 2016

An estimated 750,000 people participated in a pro-life march through downtown Lima, Peru, on March 12.

Lima's Cardinal Juan Cipriani Thorne, addressing the crowd, stressed that women who have procured an abortion "for some reason in a moment of weakness" should always have the possibility of experiencing forgiveness. At the same time he strongly backed the marchers' defense of human life from conception until natural death.
