Schedule announced for papal trip to Poland

The Holy See Press Office has confirmed that Pope Francis will visit Poland in July.

The trip, which will begin on July 27 and conclude four days later, will be the Pope’s 13th apostolic journey outside Italy.

The Pope is scheduled to meet with bishops and civil officials on July 27 following his arrival in Kraków. Over the next three days, he will visit the shrine of the ‎Black Madonna of Czestochowa, the Auschwitz concentration camp, and the Divine Mercy Sanctuary, where St. Faustina Kowalska is buried.

On July 31, the Pope is scheduled to celebrate the closing Mass of World Youth Day, which will take place in Kraków.
