182 madrasas closed in Pakistan for promoting extremism

Since December 2014, the Pakistani government has closed 182 madrassas, or Muslim schools, for promoting extremism, according to an AsiaNews report.
The closings have followed the Peshawar school massacre, the deadliest terrorist incident in the nation’s history.
