German choir performs for Pope Emeritus

The youth choir of the cathedral in Eichstätt, Bavaria, performed at a special Christmas concert at the Vatican attended by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI and his brother, Msgr. Georg Ratzinger.

On December 30, the 36-member choir sang works by Mendelssohn, Brahms, Britten, and other composers, including Msgr. Ratzinger’s arrangement of a Christmas hymn.
