The chairman of the theology department at Jesuit-run Fordham University has entered into a same-sex marriage.
J. Patrick Hornbeck II and his partner, Patrick Anthony Bergquist, were joined in a ceremony held at an Episcopalian church in New York, where Bergquist is a youth minister.
A spokesman for Fordham said that the professor is free to enter into a legal marriage and “we wish Professor Hornbeck and his spouse a rich life filled with many blessings on the occasion of their wedding in the Episcopal Church.”

What's going on? Satan is finally in full assault on decency and putting up a gay god for them to worship.

I am trying to get my mind around this/? How can you be a Catholic and engage in in sodomy? or are they going to live like brothers? if so why get married? See what I mean? Fordham hasn't been a Catholic institution for some time now and no one is doing anything? Where is the Bishop No wonder we have so many Catholics in name in only.

"A man's enemy will be the members of his own household."Matt 10:36. The Jesuits were the Best of the bests during the Reformation days. We are facing worse than then, but, what we are facing are people like this so mentioned in the article. For shame!

You can be sure, though, that if he belonged to the KKK or had a Confederate flag on his car, he'd be asked to resign.

It's news like this that makes me plead, "Please, CatholicCulture.org! Please bring back Diogenes!" I ask for him because, well, I think that only he would be able to tie together all the possible threads that this news creates.

Shrink asked jocularly about whether the marriage will be declared mixed. I suppose it depends on whether Hornbeck is Catholic or not. Last I heard, Fordham is a "Catholic" university. One would presume in the modern age that such a university would be well-stocked with atheists and other non-Catholics. Chances are good that the chairman of the theology department is not bound by a Catholic oath of fidelity. If such is the case, then aberrations are the order of the day. Federal funding R us.

Can you imagine St. Ignatius Loyola or St. Francis Xavier agreeing with the spokesman for Fordham? Mindboggling.
