Vatican unwilling to accept Obama ambassadors?

An Italian journalist reports that the Vatican has quietly rejected three names put forward by the White House to fill the post of US ambassador to the Vatican. Mary Ann Glendon, the Bush administration ambassador, resigned the post in January when President Obama was inaugurated. The Vatican has, in the past, established a policy of declining to accept ambassadors who are Catholic but not in good standing with the Church.
