Austrian missionary nun murdered in South Africa

An Austrian missionary nun was killed in her home on KwaZulu-Natal, in South Africa, on April 19, the Fides news agency reports.

The body of Sister Stefani Tiefenbacher was discovered early on Sunday morning. The 86-year-old woman had been bound, gagged, and sexually assaulted before being suffocated.

Sister Tiefenbacher, a Missionary Sister of the Precious Blood, had worked with the poor in South Africa for 60 years.
