Priest murdered in Colombia

Father Andrés Duque Echeverry, a parish priest of the Archdiocese of Medellín, was stabbed to death in an apparent robbery attempt.
El Tiempo, Colombia’s leading newspaper, reported that the priest, ordained in 1995, was returning to his parish after a visit to his family when he was murdered at a metro stations. Four bishops attended his funeral, which took place on October 4.
