Armenian president visits Pontiff

Pope Francis met on September 19 with President Sezh Sargsyan of Armenia, for talks that centered on the role of Christianity in shaping that country’s history and culture.

The talks also touched on the conflict in the Middle East, the suffering of refugees in that region, and in particular the plight of Christians and other religious minorities.
