Embryo switch rouses fears in Roman assisted-fertility treatment

Reports that a woman was implanted with another couple’s twin embryos have caused fears among Italian couples seeking fertility treatment.

Sandro Pertini Hospital in Rome, where the problem was reported, is conducting DNA tests to reassure couples seeking fertility treatment that the embryos being used are their own. The woman who reported receiving another couple’s embryos said that she has decided to continue the pregnancy.
