Teen charged with vandalizing Illinois church 3 times

February 13, 2014

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with vandalizing St. Patrick’s Church in McHenry, Illinois three times in the past eight months.

In June, a statue, light post, and air conditioning units were vandalized, causing $3,000 worth of damage, according to CBS Chicago. In July, the same items were damaged, as well as a picture and window, causing $5,000 in damage.

The teen’s arrest follows a February 5 incident that caused more than $10,000 worth of damage to the statue.
