‘Beleaguered Syrian Christians fear future’

October 29, 2013

The Associated Press has published a wire story summarizing the persecution of Christians by some Syrian rebel forces, including the kidnapping of bishops, attacks on Christian towns, and the desecration of churches.

One elderly man from the historic Christian town of Ma’loula told the Associated Press that when Islamist fighters entered his town last month, they shouted, “Convert to Islam, or you will be crucified like Jesus.”

Obama wanted to intervene and have us become the air force of these Islamist thugs. But even the crazies in our Congress realized this would cost more than we could afford and blocked his plan. When that happened, he missed a great opportunity to openly back those who deal with Christians as he would prefer but doesn't yet quite dare here in the US.
