Pakistani prelate: Western military actions help foster persecution of Christians

A leading Pakistani prelate linked the actions of NATO forces in Afghanistan to the persecution of Christians in Pakistan.
“The problem is the increasing intolerance and the perception, in general, among the Muslims is that the Christians are identified with the West,” Archbishop Joseph Coutts of Karachi, the president of the Pakistani Catholic Bishops’ Conference, said in an interview with Vatican Radio. “There’s a lot of anger among Muslims, especially over the drone attacks.”
