Catholic Recipe: Russian Tea Cakes
Also Called: Chainaya Bulka
DIRECTIONS
Cream butter. Add sugar, vanilla; beat until fluffy. Add flour, salt; mix to a smooth dough. Stir in nuts. Cover. Chill 3-4 hours. Break off bits of dough; shape into 1-inch balls. Place balls on baking sheet. Bake 15-18 minutes at 350°. Roll cakes in confectioners' sugar while still warm. Cool. Roll again in confectioners' sugar. Yield, 3 dozen
